Big Boy Pajamas

This kid has been growing out of his pajamas like crazy.  We have had to toss out 3 or 4 pair in the last few weeks.  So I whipped him up another set.  Other than almost putting a needle through my finger, it was a snap. haha  Luckily I just took off the very tip of my finger.  Landon is happy with his new jammies that actually fit. yay!

Jammies

I really wanted to make jammies for Christmas Eve this year. It's a good thing they are quick and easy because I don't think I would've gotten to it otherwise.  The kids were thrilled and so was I.  Who doesn't love a new pair of jammies?!

Lenabug

I got a Silhouette SD for Mother's Day and I am so excited! This was my first real project using it and I LOVE it! I bought a shirt for a couple dollars to go with some pajama pants I intended to make for Lena. When I got the silhouette SD I decided it needed some embellishing. :)

Here is the plain yellow shirt.

I used the Silhouette SD to make a freezer paper stencil. Just find the image you want, size it, use the silhouette to cut it out, then iron it onto your project.

Then I used purple fabric paint and painted in the stencil. It doesn't need to be neat because when you pull off the freezer paper it will make all your edges beautiful.

Let is dry. Then pull off the freezer paper.

Voila!

And I made her some pajama pants to go with it. So stinkin' cute. I had a lot of fun doing this shirt and it was really easy. I am excited to do more with my new toy!

Monkey Jammies

I bought these cute monkey flannel prints a while back thinking I would make jammies for the kids out of them. They always seem to need more jammies. It took me a while, but I finally got to it. I made the pj pants and then bought white shirts and embellished them to go with the pants.

jammies

Today I made some jammy pants and appliqued a little on a jammy shirt for Landon. I bought this fabric a long time ago with the intention of making jammies for Landon. I think it is way cute and matches his bedroom theme. He was really excited when I told him what I was making. But I made them the next size up from what he is wearing now, so I think it may be a little while before he is wearing them. I hope he is still excited for them by then. Pajama pants are so easy and such a great project for beginners. I made a ton of them when I was learning how to sew and in my beginning sewing class at BYU the first project we did was pajama pants. I still really enjoy making them. This is the first pair I have made for Landon, but I am pretty sure not the last.
