School Valentine's

This is the first year we get to do valentine's at school because we now have a kindergartener. I've seen all these creative ideas on pinterest and decided I wanted to do something cute.  This is what I came up with.  I wanted to get a little hotwheels or matchbox car and candy for each kid, but once I got to the store I just couldn't stomach spending that much on valentine's, so they get stickers and candy.  I'm sure they will love them.  Landon was thrilled and that is all I care about.  We had fun putting them together and it got him all excited.  He has been counting down the days.  I love being a mom.

So simple Valentine garland

This was so easy and very cute. I just used pinking shears to cut small hearts out of various valentine fabrics and then straight stitched through them one after another. It adds a little something to make your home feel Valentine's-y.

V-day shirt

Landon was not left out this Valentine season. But a lot of things about Valentine's are very feminine so I had to come up with something fitting for a little boy. I came across a shirt with a similar saying on it and thought that it would be great. So, I made an iron-on transfer (so easy) and he really likes it.

Valentine Dress

This is another dress made out of various fabrics I already had. I didn't use a pattern so of course it didn't turn out exactly how I imagined, but I think it is very cute. I couldn't get any good pictures of her in it (she is so busy!), but here it is on.

Purple Valentine

My awesome friend, Robin, made this adorable shirt and headband/bow. When I saw it, I just loved it. So I bought it from her. Then I decided it needed a cute little skirt to go with it. So I picked up some purple knit fabric and made this skirt. The skirt ended up being a tad too big (which is actually nice because she can wear it for a while). It is also kinda heavy, so we kept having to pull it up, but it is cute anyway!

V-Day jars

Last year I saw this really fun idea for Valentine's Day here. I kept it in mind until this year (it's amazing I could remember anything that long). I made ten of them. The best part about it is that I used some of my old baby food jars that have been taking up space since Landon was a baby. Only problem is, now Lena is filling up more space with empty baby food jars. I have so many empty baby food jars. If anyone is looking for some, let me know, you can have mine. Anyway, I just printed pictures of the kids, used a little scrapbook paper, stickers, ribbon and modpodge. Ta Da! Then I filled them with kiss and hugs candies. So sweet!

Feelin' Valentine's - y

Lena's Valentine's clothes.

Landon's Valentine's clothes.
After I decorated this shirt for Landon, Aaron told me that it looked a little girly for his son. But, Aaron wasn't here when I got Landon dressed for the day, so I put it on him anyway. I should have listened. I thought it was such a cute valentine's shirt, but then a lady at the store called him a "she". What?! It's one thing when people aren't sure the gender of a baby, but my son is 2 1/2! The next time this shirt is worn it will be when Lena is 2 1/2. It's too bad, because I really did think it was cute.
