I made a few family home evening boards for my siblings' families for Christmas this year. It didn't turn out exactly how I had planned but I think they turned out pretty good. I just painted the board and hammered some nails into it. Then I stamped metal washers with the family members' names.
I don't know what you were hoping for but I love mine!!! I love the rustic style. It is hanging on our wall getting put to good use!
